The Internet has introduced many outlets for businesses to find new customers. Just to name a few, there are Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, Google Plus streams, Groupon coupons, Living Social deals, Four Square specials, or even creating your own mobile App. It feels like there is something new every day that a business owner or a marketing manager hears about and wants to quickly implement.

Although it seems that in the midst of this social media frenzy some people have forgotten about the power of having your own website. It is vitally important to have a website that reflects your business’s professionalism, provides helpful information, and accessible tools that customers can use to keep coming back to your site on a regular basis such as industry news, learning materials, event calendars, online ordering, and more.

The beauty of having your own website is the amount of control you have over your brand and content. There are some who believe their business can squeak by just by having a Facebook and Twitter account so they can keep in touch with their friends and customers but honestly, the website will always be king.
